Free vision screenings for keiki

Did you know good vision is essential for proper physical development and educational progress in growing children? Hawaii Optometric Association and the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center hope to increase awareness of the importance of preventive eye care for Hawaii's keiki at Be Wise About Your Eyes Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Discovery Center's lobby. PARENTS' NIGHT OUT
NEED ADULT TIME? DROP OFF THE KIDS
Parents looking for a few hours of adult time might be able to find help at My Gym in Kailua's Enchanted Lake Shopping Center from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow.
Usually available only to members, this Parents Night Out event is open to the public, although spots are limited. For $30 ($15 for additional siblings), children 2 to 13 get three hours of games and activities, pizza, juice boxes and snacks and parents get a time out.
