Hawaii couple in starvation case convicted of attempted murder

Melvin and Denise Wright were convicted this afternoon of attempted murder for nearly starving their 12-year-old daughter to death in 2007.
A Family Court jury deliberated less than two days before returning the verdict.
Judge Rhonda Nishimura set sentencing for Dec. 3.
The Wrights face maximum sentences of life in prison with the possibility of parole.
