University of Hawai'i sophomore outside hitter Kanani Danielson was named Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Danielson had 34 kills, 19 digs and seven blocks over three matches while earning Most Outstanding Player honors at The Honolulu Advertiser Volleyball Challenge last week, which included a win over then-No. 10 Stanford. Yesterday's honor was the third of her career.
Also yesterday, the Rainbow Wahine (7-2) jumped two spots to No. 4 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll. Hawai'i hosts No. 25 Pepperdine (7-2) on Friday and Saturday.
