LOS ANGELES — It’s a boy for four-time Olympian Amanda Beard.
The swimmer gave birth to her first child, Blaise Ray Brown, on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The boy weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces.
“Mom is doing great!” her agent, Evan Morganstein, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.
The 27-year-old swimmer and her husband, photographer Sacha Brown, were married in May off the coast of Indonesia.
Beard, a seven-time Olympic medalist, competed in the Beijing Games but failed to advance out of the preliminaries in the 200-meter breaststroke.
