NFL: Colts still uncertain about Gonzalez’s injury

INDIANAPOLIS — Colts coach Jim Caldwell says he is waiting to meet with team doctors about Anthony Gonzalez’s right knee injury. He can’t say how long the third-year receiver might be out.
Gonzalez hurt the knee in Sunday’s 14-12 victory over Jacksonville, a play in which he crumpled to the ground without touching another player.
Caldwell is being cautious, recalling Monday what happened in 2006 when the Colts thought tight end Dallas Clark tore an anterior cruciate ligament.
Indy was ready to put him on injured reserve when doctors offered a different diagnosis. Clark returned later that season and helped the Colts win the Super Bowl.
The Colts play at Miami next weekend.
