NFL: Report: Bears' Urlacher likely out for season
Associated Press
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — The Chicago Tribune is reporting Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher will likely miss the rest of the season with a dislocated right wrist.
In a text message sent to the newspaper Monday, Urlacher said: "season is over."
The Bears would not confirm or deny the report. Urlacher's agent, Bill Johnson, did not immediately return a message from The Associated Press seeking comment.
Urlacher apparently was injured in the first quarter of Sunday night's 21-15 loss at Green Bay making a tackle on Packers running back Ryan Grant. He left on the Packers' first drive of the second half.
The Bears were counting on a healthy Urlacher to help them get back to the playoffs after missing them the past two years. The six-time Pro Bowler appeared to be in better shape after being limited by back and neck problems in recent years.
