A 41-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by another man outside a Waikiki night club late Saturday night, police said.

The man was escorting Dirk Recopuerto, of a Young Street address, out of the nightclub at 11:05 p.m. when a scuffle between the two occurred. Recopuerto, 20, allegedly tried to re-enter the Kuhio Avenue night club. He allegedly struck the man, who sustained head injuries and was taken in critical condition to The Queen's Medical Center. Police arrested Recopuerto on charges of assault in the second degree.
