Japan's Nasu, Hawaii's Masaki to perform improvisatory dance
Renowned Japanese dancer Shizuno Nasu and Hawai'i dancer Karen Masaki will perform contemporary improvisatory dance this afternoon at The Contemporary Museum.
The 2 p.m. performance is free with museum entry and will be staged in galleries exhibiting Japanese artist Yoshihiro Suda's minimalist botanical artwork.
Nasu and Masaki will also present a Dance for Body and Mind workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon tomorrow, suitable for students at any level. The workshop is $15 and registration is required. To register, contact Quala-Lynn at qlyoung@tcmhi.org.
