United adds $50 fee for second bag to Europe

United Airlines, the third-largest U.S. carrier, added a $50 fee for a second checked bag on flights to Europe.
The fee applies to tickets bought on or after Sept. 30 for travel Dec. 15 or later, said Rahsaan Johnson, a spokesman for the Chicago-based carrie.
The company is also adding a $30 charge for the second checked bag on flights connecting the U.S. to Mexico and the Caribbean.
