Honolulu police have arrested a 29-year-old Honolulu man in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Iris Rodrigues-Kaikana.
Rodrigues-Kaikana, 18, was found dead Aug. 24 in an alley adjacent to the Kamehameha Homes housing project where she lived.

Police said the McKinley High School graduate was strangled.
Police arrested Corbit K. Ahn, who had been identified as a suspect during the subsequent investigation, outside his Matlock Avenue home just before 11 p.m. Friday. The Honolulu Police Department's Specialized Services Division and Criminal Investigations Division Strategic Enforcement Detail took part in the arrest.
Ahn has two prior convictions — one for assault and another for unauthorized entry.
Hawaiçi web sites show he is a freelance mixed martial arts fighter.
Rodrigues-Kaikana’s father, Steven Rodrigues, said the arrest leaves him with more questions than answers.
“To tell you the truth ... I’m trying to figure out what is the motive,” he said. “I don’t even know this guy.”
Rodrigues did thank the community for an outpouring of support.
The killing has shocked many.
“It was real cold-blooded,” Rodrigues said. “She’s an angel. She didn’t deserve to die.”
Police said Ahn is expected to be charged with second-degree murder sometime tomorrow.
