The Hawaii Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Task Force will hold workshops on Oahu, Kauai, the Big Island and Maui next month.

The task force is considering likely effects of existing laws in addition to projects in the state Clean Energy Initiative. State law calls for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels or below in the next 11 years.

The workshops are scheduled for:

• Nov. 3, 5:30 p.m. at the Lí-hue Civic Center on Kauai.

• Nov. 4, 5 p.m. at the Pilina Building at Maui Community College.

• Nov. 16, 5:30 p.m. at the Office of Aging Conference Room in Hilo.

• Nov. 17, 5:30 p.m. at the Department of Liquor Control hearing room in Kona.

• Nov. 24, 6 p.m. at the Kawananakoa Middle School cafeteria on Oahu.
