WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — North Carolina State quarterback Russell Wilson's NCAA record of consecutive passes without an interception ended at 379 attempts in Saturday's 30-24 loss to Wake Forest.

The sophomore was picked off twice, the first by safety Josh Bush in the second quarter on a poorly thrown deep ball. Redshirt freshman Kenny Okoro then intercepted him in the end zone with 2:02 left and the Wolfpack driving for the go-ahead touchdown.

Wilson entered the game with only one career interception and none in the past 13 games since the third quarter against Clemson on Sept. 13, 2008. He had broken the previous Football Bowl Subdivision record of 325 passes without an interception by Kentucky's Andre Woodson from 2006-07.

Wilson's streak was at 364 passes entering the game, and he had thrown 15 more before the streak was snapped.

"I didn't even think about it, to be honest with you," Wilson said of the streak. "I'm going to keep throwing the ball and giving my guys chances."

The first interception, coming on first-and-35 after consecutive penalties, sailed into double coverage. Bush made an easy catch — waiting for the ball to come down to him — for his first career interception.

"I think he was happy it was over with," N.C. State coach Tom O'Brien said of the pressure accompanying the streak.

Okoro stepped in front of receiver Donald Bowens for the second interception.

Wilson finished 20 of 43 for 275 yards and two touchdowns passes. He also rushed for 45 yards and another score.
