NFL: Packers sign former Broncos CB Bell

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers have signed former Denver Broncos cornerback Josh Bell.
The Packers are lacking depth at cornerback after Al Harris’ season-ending knee injury. Bell played in nine games, including five starts, for the Broncos last season.
A 5-foot-11, 177-pound second-year player, Bell signed with San Diego as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor and spent the 2008 preseason with the Chargers. He later joined the Broncos’ practice squad and was signed to the active roster. Denver cut him before the start of this season.
The Packers play at Detroit on Thursday.
