Session staff funding levels for House committee chairs and House agencies will be cut 15 percent, while session staff funding for other House lawmakers will be cut 20 percent.
Gov. Linda Lingle signed a bill into law earlier this year that reduced pay for the governor, lieutenant governor, department directors, judges and state lawmakers by 5 percent and froze their salaries through June 2011.
The state Senate, meanwhile, plans to reduce payroll costs by 14 percent but does not expect pay cuts for permanent staff. The Senate will cut costs mostly on session staff.
