Inventor will discuss ways to get ready for disasters
Inventor Tom Thompson will give an informational talk about disaster preparedness at 10:30 a.m. June 27 at the Kapolei Public Library.
Thompson, who holds more than 20 patents on hurricane- and earthquake-protection products, will discuss how people can protect their homes and families from natural disasters. He will also speak about ways people can make older homes safer and stronger, and how doing so can affect insurance rates.
