Hawaii surf: South swell starting to build
Advertiser Staff
Surf along Oahu’s south-facing shores is on the rise and should reach 3 to 5 feet today, the National Weather Service said.
Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 to 3 feet along west-facing shores and 2 to 3 feet along east-facing shores with occasional sets of up to 4 feet.
North-facing shores will have occasional surf of up to 1 foot.
Outlook through Tuesday May, 19: Plenty of southern hemisphere swell is expected along south-facing shores over the next several days. Surf will be mostly waist to chest high with some areas seeing head high plus at times.
