MLB: Posada goes on DL with hamstring injury

NEW YORK — Yankees catcher Jorge Posada has gone on the disabled list with a hamstring injury.
The All-Star was injured while sliding during Monday night's 6-4 loss against the Boston Red Sox. He had injured the same right hamstring earlier in the season but avoided the DL.
To fill his roster spot, New York recalled catcher Francisco Cervelli from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday. With Posada on the DL, Jose Molina takes over as the Yankees' starting catcher.
Posada was sidelined from July 21 to the end of last season by a shoulder injury that required surgery.
