NFL: Tony Dungy meets with Michael Vick in prison
Associated Press
Michael Vick and Tony Dungy have met at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan., where the former star quarterback is imprisoned.
Vick's agent, Joel Segal, confirmed that they met Tuesday. Segal calls the meeting "private" and "positive."
Vick is serving a 23-month sentence for bankrolling a dogfighting conspiracy. He is due to be transferred May 21 to home confinement in Hampton, Va.
Dungy retired as the Colts' coach in January, two years after he led Indianapolis to a Super Bowl title. He has long been involved in prison ministries and is the kind of positive influence who could help Vick regain his football career.
