2 finalists for UH president to visit, speak at campuses

The University of Hawai'i has announced two of three finalists vying to become the new president of the 10-campus system.

The two are scheduled to visit and speak at campuses statewide in May. They are: M.R.C. Greenwood, who was a longtime leader in the University of California system, and Robert J. Jones, who serves as a senior academic and chief operating officer for the University of Minnesota system.

A third finalist, whose name has not been disclosed, is also being considered, but has not yet scheduled a visit.

The three finalists are vying to succeed David McClain, who has been UH president since 2004. His term ends July 31.
