Hawaiian Airlines flight attendants approve two-year contract

Advertiser Staff

Unionized Hawaiian Airlines' flight attendants have voted overwhelmingly to approve a new two-year contract.

The company and leaders of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA had reached a tentative agreement on the contract last month.

The pace increases compensation for Hawaiian's 1,031 flight attendants andprovides for operational improvements that will increase efficiency for the company.

"Our ability to reach this progressive new agreement collaboratively and in a relatively short span of time says a lot about the level of engagement of our flight attendants and the AFA leadership," said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and chief executive officer. "Together, we found a way to both increase compensation for employees during a challenging time in our industry and at the same time help improve the performance of our company going forward."
