Hawaii students to talk to astronauts

Punahou School will host a live satellite downlink with the space shuttle Discovery, inviting 20 public and private school students to question the astronauts while they are in space.

The downlink takes place from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. tomorrow at Twigg-Smith Pavilion at Case Middle School on the Punahou campus. It is free and open to the public.

The space shuttle Discovery launched March 15 and is currently on a 13-day mission to the International Space Station to deliver and install power-generating solar array wings and truss beams.

The session also will be carried live on Oceanic Cable TV channel 56 or on NASA TV at www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv.
