One lane of Kamehameha Highway was still closed near Kualoa State Park this afternoon following an early morning accident that damaged nearby utility poles.

Shortly after 4 p.m., Hawaiian Electric Company spokesman Darren Pai said HECO crews would complete their work within about a half-hour.

But he noted that work by Hawaiian Tel crews continued.

That left just one lane of Kamehameha Highway open as afternoon rush hour got under way.
