Rain is forecast at about 8:40 a.m. today at the international arrivals area at Honolulu International Airport. That's Rain, as in the South Korean popster-actor also known as Chung Ji Hoon, who is set to arrive on a Korean Airlines flight. Diehard Island loyalists from his Hawaiian Cloud fan club Bi-lieve in him (Bi is Rain's Korean nickname) and will be on hand to cheer him on despite their disappointment that his June 15, 2007, Aloha Stadium world tour concert was abruptly canceled.

The entertainer is required to be in U.S. District Court tomorrow because concert promoters Click Entertainment filed a lawsuit claiming $1 million in losses from the cancelation.

Chief Hawaiian Cloud Bi-liever Geri Mehrtens and other supporters showed up once earlier, hoping Rain would be on a flight last week; he wasn't, but a pilgrimage resumes this morning. Fans are encouraged to show up with lei — "that's so part of Hawai'i's uniqueness," said Mehrtens — but she cautions fans to bring lei that won't affect the entertainer's allergies.

Mehrtens and her group hope to shower Rain — one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2006 — with aloha and make him feel welcome. ...

When the Society of Seven LV made its first appearance earlier this month at University of Hawai'i-Hilo's Performing Art Center, the show coincided with Girls' Day.
