This weekend you can take a photo with a geisha, wave at a beauty queen, soak up some anime or get an autograph from singer and anime voice actress Momoi Halko.

It's all part of the Honolulu Festival, a Pacific region celebration that spreads across four venues before culminating in a Grand Parade through Waikiki tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

Free entertainment and demonstrations will be offered today and tomorrow at Ala Moana Center, Waikiki Beach Walk and Waikiki Shopping Plaza, but the Hawai'i Convention Center is the place to go if your goal is to get the broadest sampling of culture from Japan and other Pacific Rim countries. That's where you'll find a two-day craft fair with more than 100 booths, as well as entertainment options that include an anime corner, which will screen "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Little Dinosaur," and an Ennichi corner with games, popular Japanese festival foods and crafts.
