A malfunctioning traffic signal caused a traffic jam on Fort Weaver Road last night.

Police said one of the traffic signals was staying green longer than usual for side-street traffic and would be green only a short time for Fort Weaver Road traffic.

Police went to shut off the signal and direct traffic manually with officers in the intersection.
