Footloose at Saint Louis
| |||
"Footloose," the stage musical and movie written by Dean Pitchford, is being performed by students at his alma mater: Saint Louis High School.
The Saint Louis Center for the Arts is staging "Footloose — The Musical" through March 22. Pitchford and other members of his graduating class — Jim Nicholson, Buddy Los Banos, Russell Siu and Chris Pablo — are expected at tonight's 7:30 p.m. performance.
In case you missed the '80s movie starring Kevin Bacon, the plot involves a high schooler from Chicago who moves to a small farming town that has a ban on dancing.
The musical will run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are available by phone at 550-TIKS or online at www.honoluluboxoffice.com. Ticket prices are $22 for adults; $18 for students, military and seniors 60 and over and $15 for children under 12.
Correction: The Sunday matinee showing of the Saint Louis School theater production of "Footloose" is at 2 p.m. through March 22. The wrong time was listed in a previous version of this story.
