High surf advisory canceled

The high surf advisory for east facing shores has been canceled by the National Weather Service, which is predicting no significant swells this weekend.
By the start of the new work week, however, a new north west swell may raise surf to near advisory levels of 15 feet along shores facing north
And winds in the channels around the Big Island remain strong enough require a small craft advisory through Sunday evening, the weather service says.
