Swimming: Torres wins first competition after Beijing

AUSTIN, Texas — Dara Torres won the 50-meter freestyle in her first competition after the Beijing Olympics.
The 41-year-old mom who won three silver medals in Beijing took the Austin Grand Prix with a time of 24.91 seconds Friday night.
Torres has won 12 Olympic medals, tying her with Jenny Thompson for most by an American woman. Torres has said she aims to compete in this summer's world championships in Rome.
