TAMPA, Fla. — Safety Jermaine Phillips, tight end Jerramy Stevens and receiver Cortez Hankton re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday.
Phillips has started 72 of 94 games he's appeared in with the Bucs over the past seven years. He had three of his 11 career interceptions in 2008 and also scored his first NFL touchdown on a 38-yard fumble return.
Stevens originally signed with Tampa Bay in 2007 after spending the first five years of his career with the Seattle Seahawks. He had 36 receptions for 397 yards and two touchdowns last season and has 184 career catches for 2,044 yards and 21 TDs.
Hankton, who joined the Bucs in January 2008, was placed on injured reserve in August and missed all of last season. In five seasons, he has played in 46 games with one start, all with Jacksonville.
