Grief workshop planned; open to pros and public
Louis E. LaGrand, a leading authority on grief counsleing, will share "Nine Proven Survival Skills for Coping with Loss and Change," a free workshop for counseling professionals as well as members of the general public, 9 a.m. to noon March 31 at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea.
LaGrand is author of eight books and a distinguished service professort emeritus at New York State University. The workshop explores nine therapeutic skills as well as "four gifts" than can hep with coping with loss.
The event is sponsored by St. Francis Hospital, the National Association of Social Workers Hawai'i chapter and Borthwick Mortuary.
