NFL: Collins attends Packers minicamp, contract lingers
Associated Press
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins showed up for the team’s mandatory minicamp, though he clearly doesn’t consider his contract situation resolved.
Collins said Monday that he was happy to be back after skipping all but one of the team’s voluntary workouts and was committed to the team.
He didn’t want to talk about his contract, which runs through the end of this season. Asked if he would show up for training camp if the team didn’t redo his deal, Collins said simply: “We’ll see.”
Coach Mike McCarthy said Collins was in good physical shape and mentally ready to play.
