ST. LOUIS Veteran defensive tackle LaRoi Glover is retiring after 13 NFL seasons.
Glover, who turns 35 on July 4, spent the past three seasons with the St. Louis Rams.
He was not re-signed following the 2008 season, when he had 30 tackles only one-half sack.
He was selected by Oakland in the fifth round of the 1996 draft. After a year with the Raiders, he played five seasons in New Orleans and four in Dallas before signing with the Rams as a free agent prior to the 2006 season.
Glover had 627 tackles and 83.5 sacks for his career. He led the NFL with 17 sacks for the Saints in 2000, a rare feat for a defensive tackle.
