Water pump breaks down on Moloka'i
Advertiser Staff
Moloka'i officials were urging water conservation yesterday after the breakdown of a pump that serves about 1,275 customers in Kaunakakai and Kala'e.
Without the pump, reservoirs will not be replenished and residents and businesses will experience declining water pressure.
County officials placed a 5,000-gallon water tanker at the intersection of Ala Malama Avenue and Kukui Place near the post office in Kaunakakai.
