Holzman, Lee now regents at University of Hawaii
John C. Holzman and James H.Q. Lee joined the University of Hawai'i Board of Regents on July 1, the school announced Tuesday.
They replace Allan R. Landon and Ronald K. Migita, whose terms expired June 30. Landon served as the board's chairman for the last two years.
Holzman is a retired Foreign Service officer who is a senior volunteer mediator at the Mediation Center of the Pacific.
Lee is a partner in the law firm Devens, Nakano, Saito, Lee, Wong & Ching.
Holzman and Lee were confirmed by the state Senate.
The Senate also confirmed the nominations of Mark H. Fukunaga, Chuck Gee and Eric Martinson to the board's Honolulu County seats; Ramon S. de la Pena to the Kaua'i County seat; Michael Dahilig to the at-large seat; and Grant Teichman to the student regent seat. Since January, those six regents had been serving on an interim basis.
