HMSA providing travel funds for med students

The Hawaii Medical Service Association said it is providing about $90,000 to subsidize travel and living expenses for medical students assisting physicians on Neighbor Islands.
The support for 33 students is part of a two-year commitment HMSA has with the John A. Burns School of Medicine to help support Neighbor Island training opportunities. The students work with rural physicians to help improve access to quality health care in those communities.
