There are still some tickets available for Manoa Valley Theatre’s production of the Tony Award-winning “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” continuing its run tonight through July 26.
The show opened July 1 and has been so well-received its run was extended recently by five shows.

Tickets are $35 for general admission, $30 for seniors and military, and $20 for patrons 25-years-old and younger. Recommended minimum age is 10. Call 988-6131 or purchase tickets online at manoavalleytheatre.com. Tickets are also available at all military ticket outlets.
The “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” chronicles the trials and tribulations of six young spelling whizzes in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, as they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.
It’s also a unique show in that audience members are asked to participate in parts of the show with the spelling bee, and the seating is designed to resemble a high school gym.
Wait staff dressed as cheerleaders provide beverage service in-house, and audience members can get $5 sack lunches courtesy of the Lunch Lady (actor Braddoc DeCaires).
