Actor Danny DeVito served up his own premium "Limoncello" liqueur flavored with zesty Italian lemons and gave a cry of "Salut!" to a drink-sipping crowd at Tales of the Cocktail, a New Orleans cocktail and culinary festival.

Wife and actress Rhea Perlman accompanied DeVito as he shared stories Friday about his New Jersey upbringing and spoke of his passion for Sorrento, Italy, where his liqueur is produced. The occasion: a "Drink Italy" event at the Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter.

Tales of the Cocktail is a five-day festival of dinners, tastings, competitions, book signings and parties that celebrate food and spirits. The event brings together bartenders, chefs and authors to celebrate the history and artistry of making drinks.

CUSTODY HEARING DELAYED ON JACKSON KIDS

Michael Jackson's mother and ex-wife will have time to reach an agreement over who will take care of the singer's three children.

For the second time, Katherine Jackson and Deborah Rowe joined to seek a delay in a hearing that could decide who gets custody of the pop superstar's children.

A guardianship hearing scheduled for today has been delayed for a week, an attorney said Friday.

Katherine Jackson will remain the temporary guardian of her son's three children, who range in age from 7 to 12.

Court records show a judge granted the delay Friday afternoon.

The hearing could have presented a showdown between Katherine Jackson and Rowe, who was married to the pop singer from 1996 to 1999.

Instead, the two sides are trying to broker an out-of-court settlement.

'SURVIVOR' WINNER SEEKS REPRIEVE

"Survivor" winner Richard Hatch, who's serving home confinement for tax evasion, wants a leave to star in a 10th anniversary edition of the show in Samoa.

Hatch won $1 million on the reality show but was convicted in 2006 of failing to pay taxes on his winnings. He's serving the final 90 days of his sentence in home confinement in Newport, R.I.

The government says in court papers that Hatch still hasn't paid $400,000 he owes. It argues a judge found Hatch is in need of supervision, and if he remains overseas it would be impossible to imprison him again if he fails to pay his taxes.

Hatch argues that any money he earns from the show can pay his tax obligations.

COMEDIAN LANGE CHARGED WITH DUI

Comedian and radio personality Artie Lange, 41, has been charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant and careless driving after a minor traffic accident in central New Jersey.

Toms River police say Lange's 2009 Nissan struck the rear of another vehicle around 1:30 p.m. Friday. Police say no one was injured and both vehicles had only minor damage.

Lange is a "Howard Stern Show" regular and recently wrote a best-selling book, "Too Fat to Fish."
