Windward Mall is inviting nonprofit groups and schools to take part in its fifth annual Festival of Giving fundraising program.

The mall will distribute shopping passes, which the nonprofits sell for $5 and keep 100 percent of the proceeds.

People who buy the shopping passes will be entitled to special offers from Windward Mall merchants on Nov. 14-15, such as store discounts, gifts with purchase, food samples and door prizes.

Last year's program raised an estimated $20,435 for more than 40 community groups, including Pali Lions Club, Hawai'i Family Law Clinic, 'Ahuimanu Elementary School, Windward Special Olympics, Hale Kipa, Abilities Unlimited and Waimanalo Health Center.
