PacificNetwork.tv has been documenting activities of outrigger canoe paddlers who are adaptive athletes.
To show appreciation for veterans and active-duty military on the Fourth of July, filmmaker Edgy Lee has posted a sample of the larger video project on her blog at http://lifeisgood.honadvblogs.com. This video focuses on Pure Light Racing, led by Aka Hemmings, which started the Wounded Warrior program in 2007 as a response to the treatment of U.S. veterans.
For more on adaptive athletics and how to get involved, see http://sports.pacificnetwork.tv. To get in touch with Pure Light Racing, Johann Bouit can help connect you with Aka Hemmings and crew at http://connections.pacificnetwork.tv/profile/Hironui.
