Police say suspicious package found at Aiea High was non-explosive

Honolulu police “disabled a suspicious package” on the campus of Aiea High School today that was later determined not to be an explosive, said Michelle Yu, spokeswoman for the police department.
The school was on lockdown while the bomb squad investigated the package that was near a school building. Police disabled the package around 10:30 a.m.
A secretary at the school said the school is no longer on lockdown.
