The hands-on workshop includes storm water management, use of native plants for erosion control, and information about volunteer opportunities.

The final hour offers a garden tour to see techniques used in various ecosystems and advice on managing soil erosion.

The workshop, sponsored by the city, is limited to 50 people, who will have a chance to win a native Hawaiian plant basket and chipper/shredder in a random drawing. Participants should wear comfortable shoes.
