Motorcycle fatality on Maui was Kula man

Maui police have identified a man who died after a motorcycle accident Thursday on Omaopio Road as Robert Aviles, 44, of Kula.
Aviles was headed east on a 1978 Harley Davidson when he lost control of the motorcycle on Omaopio about 2.7 miles west of Kula Highway, police said.
He was not wearing a helmet.
The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m.
