ATLANTA — The Carter Center plans to auction original artworks by former President Jimmy Carter, a baseball autographed by five U.S. presidents, a set of Harry Potter books signed by author J.K. Rowling and other celebrity memorabilia next month.

They're among more than 100 high-end tchotchkes from the White House, sports, the space race and the entertainment world, plus luxury vacations — including one with the former president and his wife — for sale Feb. 7 at the Carter Center's annual Winter Weekend in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The nonprofit center promotes peace and health worldwide and monitors elections in struggling democracies.

Last year, the highest bid was $300,000, for a maple bench hand-crafted by Carter.

CBS MOGUL'S DIVORCE FINALIZED

LOS ANGELES — Entertainment mogul Sumner Redstone has finalized his divorce from his wife of five years.

Redstone, executive chairman of CBS and Viacom, filed for divorce in October, citing "irreconcilable differences" with Paula Fortunato Redstone. A judge signed off on the couple's confidential agreement this month and the judgment was entered Wednesday.

Redstone, whose wealth was calculated at $7.6 billion in 2007, has been hit hard by the faltering economy. He sold his majority stake in Midway Games and $233 million of his CBS and Viacom stock as he struggled to restructure $1.6 billion in debt.

PANETTIERE'S POP PLEADS NO CONTEST

LOS ANGELES — Hayden Panettiere's father has received two years of informal probation after pleading no contest to hitting his wife, the "Heroes" star's mother.

Alan Panettiere entered the plea Tuesday in Beverly Hills. The judge ordered him to attend a domestic violence treatment program, pay a $400 fine and serve two years of unsupervised probation.

FLYNT NEPHEWS PUT ON NOTICE

LOS ANGELES — A judge has issued a restraining order telling the nephews of porn publisher Larry Flynt to include a disclaimer if they produce adult films under the family name after being fired by their uncle.

The U.S. District judge Wednesday told Dustin and Jimmy Flynt II they must place large notices on their DVDs and Web site that the products are in no way connected to Larry Flynt, who publishes Hustler magazine and related media.

The nephews plan to release seven DVDs under the name Flynt Media Corp., and Larry Flynt sued over copyright infringement.

SPANISH POLICE SEIZE DALI FAKES

MADRID, Spain — Spanish police said yesterday they have confiscated dozens of suspected fake Salvador Dali artworks set for sale in the southern town of Estepona.

A total of 81 pieces were seized, 12 of which might be genuine Dali works and are very similar to pieces listed as stolen in Belgium, France and the U.S., police said.

A Frenchman who allegedly transported the pieces from France was arrested. The works include sculptures, lithographs, bas-reliefs, cutlery and textile pieces.

Dali, born in Spain, died in 1989 at age 84. Forgeries of his works are widespread.
