CFB: QB Jake Christensen to transfer from Iowa
Associated Press
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The father of Iowa junior quarterback Jake Christensen says his son plans to transfer at the end of the school year.
Christensen was Iowa's starting quarterback in 2007, when the Hawkeyes finished 6-6. But Christensen lost the job to sophomore Ricky Stanzi in late September.
Stanzi helped lead Iowa to a 9-4 record and the No. 20 spot in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Jake's father, Jeff Christensen, says his son is on track to graduate from Iowa this spring. Jeff Christensen says Jake has yet to decide where he'll finish out his career.
Christensen redshirted in 2005. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
