CFB: Huskies football team may play in Qwest Field
Associated Press
SEATTLE — If the University of Washington can arrange financing for Husky stadium renovation, the football team may play in Qwest Field in 2010.
The Seattle Times reports that UW athletic director Scott Woodward says he has a verbal agreement with Seahawks officials. The Seahawks would be returning a favor to the Huskies who allowed the NFL team to play on campus eight years ago during the construction of Qwest Field.
The university is seeking $150 million in taxpayer money to add to $150 million from its own fundraising for stadium renovation.
