Surf: 10-14 feet expected on North Shore today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the north-facing shores of O'ahu is on the way up and is expected to reach heights of 10 to 14 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Meanwhile, surf along east-facing shores declined overnight and is expected to be 3 to 7 feet today, forecasters said.

Elsewhere on O'ahu, look for increasing surf of 6 to 10 feet along west-facing shores and 1 to 3 feet along south-facing shores.

Outlook through Sunday, Jan. 11: The trade wind surf on the east-facing shores will continue to slowly taper off through the week. A west-northwest swell arriving today will continue to build on Wednesday and peak Wednesday afternoon, producing near advisory level surf on the north-facing shores late Tuesday through late Wednesday.
