| |||
"Dialogues of Abstraction," the first joint exhibit by acclaimed Japanese-American painters Mary Mitsuda and James Kuroda, opens tonight at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i.
The painters' works complement and contrast each other. Kuroda's paintings, influenced by Asian philosophies, demonstrate balance, harmony and centeredness. Mitsuda's inspiration comes from earth and nature.
The 6 p.m. opening reception in the first-floor Community Gallery is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
