The NFL today lifted the TV blackout on the Pro Bowl, meaning tomorrow's 11:30 a.m. game will be televised nationally and locally on NBC.
Limited tickets are still available as tickets were released back to the NFL by some players, coaches and their families.
Ticket prices start at $45. Fans may purchase 2009 Pro Bowl game tickets in a variety of ways:
• By phone — Call Ticketmaster toll free at 877-750-4400
• Online — www.ticketmaster.com
• In person – at the Aloha Stadium Box Office, the Blaisdell Box Office and at Macy's.
The deadline for the game to be sold out or virtually sold out was 11:30 a.m. today.
The NFL has a policy in which games have to be sold out 72 hours before kickoff in order for it to be telecast live locally.
But the NFL twice extended the deadline, which was originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
The Pro Bowl has sold out every year since moving to the 50,000-seat Aloha Stadium in 1980. The 1982 game was blacked out locally, although it was sold out by kickoff.
The Pro Bowl 30-year streak of games played in Hawaii will end after this year. Next year's Pro Bowl will be played in Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami in the open week between the conference championships and the Super Bowl.
