Actress and singer Gina Hiraizumi, in Honolulu for the release of her 2010 Hawaiian calendar, will perform at tomorrow's Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic basketball tournament championship game at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Hiraizumi, a native of Torrance, Calif., has performed the national anthem at many venues, including the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden. As an actress, she played opposite Jason Scott Lee in "Only the Brave" and just finished work on Alyssa Milano's ABC series "Castle."
Her 2010 calendar is sponsored in part by Hilton Hawaiian Village. To find out more about Hiraizumi and buy the calendar, visit http://ginaonline.keyfocusmedia.com/store.php.
ECO HOLIDAYS
KEEPING CHRISTMAS SIMPLE, AND GREEN
Eco-conscious merrymakers have been counting down 12 days to a greener Christmas, reminding people that they should keep it simple during the holidays.
The Kokua Hawai'i Foundation and other organizations shared green holiday ideas at the Green Community Fair earlier this month, offering tips such as buying live, potted trees; canceling unwanted catalogs; using reusable plates and utensils for Christmas parties and combining caroling with a litter pick-up.
