LEILEHUA DONATIONS AID WAHIAWÄ HUNGRY

Students and teachers from Leilehua High School delivered 1,741 cans of food to Surfing The Nations this week to help feed the hungry in the Wahiawä community during the holidays. The drive, led by Summer Pasco-Cariaga of the Leilehua Letterman Club, collected enough to feed more than 200 families in need.

Cyndie and Ray Fernandez of Kapahulu were recently named winners of the Board of Water Supply's EXTREME Xeriscape Garden Makeover Contest. The Fernandez family won a $20,000 garden makeover using the principles of xeriscaping, which helps to conserve water through efficient landscaping.
